Ilse van Vuuren – Founding Owner

Ilse van Vuuren

In 2013 I started my own company teaching Dutch, one day a student of mine asked me to help with the yearly income tax declaration. Being the daughter of entrepreneurs and the fact that I studied law, gave me the tools to offer this kind of help. I noticed that expats do not always get the same treatment as locals, and I decided I wanted to offer help on such matters in an honest and transparent way. I took several courses and became a bookkeeper.

Since 2015 I am officially registered at the Chamber of Commerce and have a so called ‘Beconnummer’ for tax consultants registered with the Dutch Tax Authority.

In the beginning I could handle all the requests from our clients myself, but after a few years I realized I needed to expand the team. By now we are a team of 6, of which I am really proud.

My role is Tax Advisor and therefore I am responsible for the consultations (appointments), the preparation of the Income Tax Declarations and I am supporting the rest of the Team if they need me.

Edgardo Micali – Owner

Edgardo has started working for Studio Expat in early 2019 after being an entrepreneur in the Netherlands for over 6 years. Edgardo has been working in big international companies in Italy, Belgium and the Netherlands. Within our organization he is one of our Business Clients Lead and he is supporting the rest of the Team.

Loes – Back Office

Speaks: Dutch and English

Loes has joined Studio Expat in 2019 assisting Ilse with administrative tasks, data entry and accounts payable/debtor management.


Agostina – Business Client Lead

Speaks: Italian and English

Agostina joined our Team in early 2020 and she is one of our Business Client Leads, having many years of experience in this role, working in Italy and in the Netherlands.


Angela – Front Office

Speaks: Italian, English, Dutch and French

Angela has started working for Studio Expat halfway 2020, taking care of the first-line communications with our clients.

Jaimy – Intermediary

Speaks: Dutch and English

Jaimy joined the Team during the second half of 2020. She is the ‘middle-man’ between our office and several entities, such as Belastingdienst, SVB and our Payrol-partner.
