In 2013 I started my own company teaching Dutch, one day a student of mine asked me to help with the yearly income tax declaration. Being the daughter of entrepreneurs and the fact that I studied law, gave me the tools to offer this kind of help. I noticed that expats do not always get the same treatment as locals, and I decided I wanted to offer help on such matters in an honest and transparent way. I took several courses and became a bookkeeper.
Since 2015 I am officially registered at the Chamber of Commerce and have a so called ‘Beconnummer’ for tax consultants registered with the Dutch Tax Authority.
In the beginning I could handle all the requests from our clients myself, but after a few years I realized I needed to expand the team. By now we are a team of 7, of which I am really proud.

Edgardo has started working for Studio Expat in early 2019 after being an entrepreneur in the Netherlands for over 6 years. Edgardo has been working in big international companies in Italy, Belgium and the Netherlands. Within our organization he is one of our Business Clients Lead and he is supporting the rest of the Team.

Our office is located at Stationsweg 29 in Alkmaar. It is easily reached by train, with 4 trains per hour from Amsterdam. Parking is available in front of the office (paid).
